The Model TU2170 SCR assembly with digital communications control is used for three phase resistive or infrared loads that are supervised or controlled by a communications link. With line currents from 40A–500A up to 500V max, the TU2170 performs time proportioning control of two phases of a three-phase resistive load (three-wire wye or delta). A variety of analog inputs are accepted and fast and single cycle firing modes may be selected. The TU2170 has partial load failure for  resistive or IR loads and uses V-squared or VxI feedback. Digital communications are available with Profibus®, Modbus®, JBUS or EI-Bisynch protocol. Automatic transfer to analog setpoints occurs in the event of communications failure. Alarms may be annunciated by LED’s, a relay contact or via the serial link. Units 100A and up are fan cooled. Fuses are external (above 250A– internal) and ordered separately. It may be used with the model 260 Diagnostic Unit.
